This organisation is seeking a technically proficient and commercially driven Business Development Manager to accelerate commercial growth across strategic accounts and help shape the company’s presence in key market segments. Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute strategic business development plans to drive revenue growth within biologics and cell & gene therapy markets
Identify, qualify, and cultivate new customer opportunities, including biopharma, biotech and emerging cell & gene therapy companies
Lead complex sales cycles from initial engagement through proposal development, contracting and successful account hand‑off
Build and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders including senior R&D, manufacturing, and executive leadership teams
Collaborate with internal cross‑functional teams (Scientific, Technical Operations, Marketing, Regulatory) to align commercial strategies with service capabilities and market needs
Track market, technology and competitor trends to provide actionable insights and support strategic positioning
Represent the company at industry conferences, partnering events and customer meetings
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering or related discipline
advanced degree preferred
Minimum 5-8 years of business development, strategic sales or commercial alliance experience within the biologics or cell & gene therapy CDMO / biopharmaceutical services sector
Demonstrated success in prospecting, negotiating and closing multi‑year, high‑value commercial agreements
Strong scientific literacy coupled with commercial acumen and the ability to communicate value propositions to technical and executive audiences
Excellent interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
A proactive, self‑motivated approach with the ability to manage complex opportunities and work collaboratively across global teams
Willingness to travel as required to support customer engagements and industry events
