This role reports to the General Manager – Sales and is an expansion on our current Sales teams. We are seeking an ambitious and results orientated Sales Hunter to join our team. The ideal candidate has industrial experience and thrives on pursuing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and consistently exceeding sales targets. If you have a proven track record of closing deals and love the thrill of the hunt, we want to hear from you!

Job Responsibility:

  • Identify and attract new business opportunities in your targeted industry segment
  • Develop a deep understanding of your industry segments and their product requirements
  • Collaboration and teamwork will be critical as you work closely with the Regional Sales Managers, Strategic Account Managers to identify targets, secure the business and hand over the relationship to the retention teams
  • Identify, prospect, and qualify new leads and business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and market research
  • Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline to meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
  • Engage with potential clients, understand their needs, and effectively present our solutions to drive conversions
  • Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to tailor proposals and pitches that resonate with prospects
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term relationships
  • Keep detailed records of sales activities and provide regular reports to management
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitors, and market dynamics to identify new opportunities

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sales Hunter, Business Development Representative, or similar role with a strong record of meeting/exceeding sales targets
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a competitive drive and a proactive approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools is a plus
  • Industry expertise in either: 1) Dairy/Food processing, 2) Power Generation/Utilities or 3) High-Tech Manufacturing and Distribution centres
