This is a new Business Development Manager role that is part of the sales team based in our Thailand office that is responsible for selling to Consumer Goods space across the APAC region. You will be responsible for targeting a plethora of FMCG companies across your territory. You will be a highly self-motivated sales professional, preferably with a proven track record of business development and have experience in consultative/B2B sales.
Job Responsibility:
Managing the entire sales process involved with selling syndicated web-based planning tools and custom research solutions to new clients (e.g. prospecting, territory management, meeting scheduling, product demonstrations, multistakeholder business case development, contract negotiation, and more!)
Take ownership of your performance and personal development by linking it to your goals, identifying obstacles and developing strategies to overcome them
Taking ownership of your personal sales targets
your own forecasting and account planning – including researching a strong prospect list and a sales plan on how to reach sales targets, as well as ensuring implementation of the plan
Demonstrating effectiveness by consistently hitting (and exceeding) monthly, quarterly, and yearly KPI & revenue targets
Identifying influencers and decision makers at target organisations and ensuring that you understand their roles and objectives, as well as the benefits and applications of using GlobalData’s data & market research solutions
Increasing your productivity by actively leveraging GlobalData's training programs, supportive managers, and diverse set of able peers
Requirements:
3-5+ years of proven BDM/new logo sales experience in the sectors of either Information services/Data analytics or media/subscription sales
Hunter mentality, with the desire to build a professional career in the Information Services industry and a growth mindset
Proven history of hitting sales quotas and KPI’s including achieving monthly/quarterly/annual quota’s consistently
High level of proficiency in written & spoken English
Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to articulate a compelling message and influence, persuade and negotiate with all levels of people to achieve win-win situations
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
Effective prioritization and time management skills
Proficient in MS Office Suite & Salesforce or similar
Nice to have:
Experience selling into the large-scale FMCG sector or similar preferred
Experience facilitating strong C-level meetings
