As our Business Development Manager , you'll enable clients to increase revenue, create greater efficiency, enhance the visitor experience, and identify and capitalize on sustainable business opportunities through data insights. You'll be an experienced and dedicated discussion partner for current clients, but above all, you'll be a networker, prospector, consultant, and proactively seeking out emerging market opportunities in the field of passenger and vehicle access solutions. You'll utilize all your communication and sales skills to achieve success, and there's ample opportunity for ownership and responsibility. You don't shy away from (complex) technical projects and see them as an opportunity to introduce the latest applications. You think outside the box to fully support the client and give them a head start in the future. You participate in (inter)national trade fairs and welcome clients in Barendrecht to see the applications in action. The sales team consists of 3 account managers and 3 sales support colleagues who help you achieve the best for SKIDATA and its customers.
Job Responsibility:
Developing, building, and maintaining contacts with customers and prospects with the aim of developing long-term relationships
Proactively researching and determining customer needs and translating these into successful opportunities through a TCO calculation so that the customer can choose the right solution
Managing the entire sales process: conducting market research and analysis, developing a sales plan, conducting acquisition and sales interviews, giving presentations, negotiating, and ultimately closing the deal
Acting as the primary and first point of contact for customers, including in the after-sales process
Ensure proper follow-up of customer agreements, complete reporting with correct documentation in the relevant systems, and good internal communication
Contribute to SKIDATA's sales strategy and growth, further expanding SKIDATA's current position and brand awareness
proactively monitor market trends and developments and follow up on these commercially
Requirements:
HBO working and thinking level, preferably with a commercial/technical background
Energetic, down-to-earth, focused on collaboration and pragmatic with proven sales (hunter) experience including track record
Affinity with digital solutions / software sales
Experience in initiating, creating and leading technical (complex) sales processes
Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English
Proactive, sharp, driven, solution-oriented and the ambition to be successful
