You will be a member of the Business Development Team and will play a proactive role in developing within the culture of the current Business Development and Relationship Management teams across the business. The focus will be on new business projects and initiatives, constantly thinking of new innovative ideas for enhancing the public profile of Capital International.
Job Responsibility:
Hunt for New Business opportunities within the regions of the Western Cape and surrounding areas into the Garden Route
Constantly engaging with clients and following up to ensure conversion to business
Focus on new business projects and initiatives
Generate new opportunities via proactive activity with new and existing networks
Attend / host meetings, prepare for and follow up of new business leads and prospects
Provide demonstrations to clients, Brokers or IFAs on Capital International products and systems
Travel to Clients / Brokers or IFA’s in South Africa
Deal with New Business lead enquiries via various methods i.e., e-mail, LinkedIn campaigns, Events, and Telephone
Assist with fellow SA Business Development Managers when needed
Build relationships with Clients, Brokers and IFA’s
Maintain existing client relationships
Meet or surpass sales targets set for the Team
Send out application forms, introducer agreements and company information
Think of new innovative ideas for increasing sales
Head the implementation of relationship management events including Boardroom Lunches, seminars and networking opportunities
Reflect with integrity the values of Capital International
Help to prepare formal reports for the Capital International Executive committee meetings
Monitor New Business statistics
Prepare Quarterly reports and Statistic analysis
Play active role in daily and weekly team meetings
Implement and streamline new processes
Monitor iDCRM Sales performance and report to your direct line Manager
Continuously improve statistical reporting of BD activity via iDCRM
Attend regular meetings on all areas of sales
Provide training sessions with Advisors
Liaise with Head of Business Development
Communicate proactively with the Customer Services and Client Support team
Support relevant BD focused social media activities
Maintain good understanding of relevant risk management and compliance processes
Support other members of the Group Business Development team
Requirements:
RE5 Certificate
Bachelor`s Degrees, Advanced Diploma or CFP Advantageous
Minimum 5- 10 Years experience within a similar role
Must have an existing network of potential clients within the Western Cape and surrounding regions
Must have a proven track record and experience of successful business development within a financial services environment
Experience of offshore investment industry favourable
Sound technical product knowledge of the industry
Offshore investment knowledge is advantageous
