As a Business Development Manager, you will identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in the utilities infrastructure sector. You’ll shape bids, build strong client relationships, and drive long-term growth aligned with our capabilities.
Job Responsibility:
Identify and evaluate new business opportunities across the utilities infrastructure
Build and maintain strong relationships with housebuilders, developers, and consultants
Lead or support bids, tenders, and proposals, ensuring competitive, compliant submissions
Collaborate with technical, commercial, and delivery teams to shape pricing strategies and risk assessments
Attend industry events and stakeholder meetings to promote the business
Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline forecasts, and market intelligence
Requirements:
Proven experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles in utilities or infrastructure
Knowledge of utilities infrastructure markets, procurement models, and regulatory environments
Experience developing and winning major bids or long-term framework contracts
Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
Strategic thinker, relationship-driven, and customer-focused
Proactive, resilient, and results-oriented
Strong operational understanding of utilities infrastructure sectors
Ability to work in complex, regulated environments
Nice to have:
Experience in electric, gas, water, or renewable energy infrastructure is desirable
Relevant commercial, business development, or engineering qualifications are advantageous
