We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across our NSW Independents channel. In this newly created role, you’ll take ownership of a defined sales territory and play a key part in expanding our product presence, developing new business opportunities, and strengthening relationships with our valued customers. You’ll be the face of Hunter Douglas for the Independents network, bringing our products to life through impactful presentations, market insights, and hands-on support to help customers succeed.
Job Responsibility:
Generate new business opportunities to achieve sales, revenue and profit targets
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
Deliver engaging sales presentations and product demonstrations to clients
Leverage customer networks and utilise internal support services to drive growth
Stay close to customer needs and industry trends to identify emerging opportunities
Coordinate client meetings and launch events to promote our product range
Provide timely insights and recommendations to management on market activity
Ensure all sales initiatives align with legal, ethical and company standards
Actively contribute to the division’s sales strategies with a hands-on approach
All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
An experienced Business Development professional (5+ years) with a strong B2B background
A confident communicator who can engage, present and influence at all levels
An excellent negotiator who enjoys converting opportunities into commercial success
A proactive self-starter with strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic thinking capability
Comfortable presenting to both small groups and large customer conferences
Motivated by building relationships, creating value and delivering results
Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline are preferred
