We’re looking for a Business Development Manager with detailed knowledge of building materials, to join the team at our Dundee branch. In this role, you’ll be a key part of our branch’s success by building strong relationships with customers and suppliers, supporting your teammates, and helping to grow sales and profitability.

Job Responsibility

  • Building connections with customers in person or over the phone
  • Creating tailored solutions – putting together quotes, following up on enquiries, turning leads into opportunities
  • Keeping things running smoothly – handling day to day admin
  • Offering guidance – helping customers choose the right products
  • Enhancing the shopping experience – keeping displays tidy, well stocked, and easy to browse
  • Collaborating – working closely with the team across the branch

Requirements

  • Experience in a builders' merchant or a sales-focused role
  • Confident sales professional with strong knowledge of building materials
  • Passion for helping customers find the right products
  • Experience leading or supporting a team (advantage)
  • Strong time keeping
