A growing business specialising in warehouse storage solutions, racking systems and shelving installations is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager to join their team based in Thorne, Doncaster. This role would suit a sales professional with a technical mindset who enjoys a consultative sales process and wants to develop their skills within a project-based environment. Full training will be provided on the products, surveying process and design software. The office is located in Thorne town centre, with local amenities, gym facilities and shops nearby. You will manage the full sales cycle, from identifying new business opportunities through to delivering tailored storage solutions for customers. The role involves a mix of new business development and inbound enquiries, providing a strong opportunity to build a successful pipeline.
Job Responsibility:
Identifying and developing new business opportunities across warehousing, logistics, manufacturing and commercial sectors
Managing the full 360 sales process from initial contact through to project completion
Visiting customer sites to assess requirements and measure spaces
Recommending appropriate storage solutions including pallet racking and shelving systems
Preparing quotations and proposals for customers
Working with internal teams to produce layout designs using Visio or similar software
Building strong relationships with both new and existing customers
Requirements:
Previous B2B sales experience
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A proactive approach to new business development
Technically minded and comfortable learning new systems
Comfortable visiting customer sites and carrying out basic measurements
Full UK driving licence
Nice to have:
Experience in warehouse storage, racking systems or industrial equipment
