Reporting directly to the President of Plaisirs Gastronomiques, the Business Development Manager plays a key role in the company's growth by developing new markets and contributing to the expansion of our organization.
Job Responsibility
Identify and develop new business opportunities with prospective customers and strategic partners
Build and maintain strong relationships with key players in the food industry
Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with market conditions and company objectives
Present new products and develop listing opportunities with prospective customers
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
Participate in commercial negotiations and prepare customer proposals
Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure project feasibility, follow-up, and successful execution
Requirements
Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Account Management, or a related field
Relevant experience in business development within the food industry or the consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector
Good knowledge of food retailers, distributors, and chain accounts is considered an asset
Minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a similar role
Knowledge of SAP is considered an asset
Bilingualism (French and English) is essential in order to communicate with English-speaking customers
Proven ability in prospecting and developing new customer relationships
Strong capability to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Strong results orientation and focus on sales growth
Ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships
Self-motivated, proactive, and strategic thinker
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Availability for occasional travel and short business trips
