GlobalData is currently looking for an enthusiastic New Business Sales Manager in our growing APAC sales team, representing the GlobalData Industrials Practice (Renewables/GX, Mining, Oil & Gas & Construction/Engineering). You will be an energetic, driven and reward-motivated salesperson located in our Tokyo office in a hybrid role.
Job Responsibility:
Managing and developing a high-profile book of accounts, acting as a trusted partner to ensure client needs are exceeded, and revenue targets are achieved
Leveraging deep relationships within key accounts to identify and generate cross and up-sell new business opportunities
Developing robust account plans, highlighting risks and opportunities to sales leadership and executing on strategies to address challenges
Maintain strong thought leadership value proposition of GlobalData Industrials solution to Japan’s key accounts
Selling mid-value, specialised information solutions which deliver Sales Intelligence, Strategy Intelligence, Market Intelligence, Competitor Intelligence & Innovation Intelligence outcomes to our new logo prospects in the Industrials sectors (Renewables/GX, Mining, Oil & Gas & Construction/Engineering) sectors in Japan
Conduct effective business development activity through phone/email, in-person and online demonstrations of our solutions to C-Suite
Articulate a winning business proposition that is tailored to the prospect’s business objectives and desired outcomes
Achieve monthly new logo quota through effective sales outreach
Qualify the client’s organizational structure, available budget, and decision process to ensure accurate forecasts of new logo opportunities
Requirements:
4-5+ years of proven Account Management and new logo sales experience in the sectors of either Information services/Data analytics or media/subscription sales
Experience selling into Japan’s large-scale Industrial, Energy and Construction/Engineering companies preferred
Hunter mentality, with the desire to build a professional career in the Information Services industry and a growth mindset
Proven history of hitting sales quotas and KPI’s including achieving monthly/quarterly/annual quota’s consistently
Japanese - Native level written & spoken
English - Business level written & spoken
Strong Business acumen to articulate consumer value proposition in a fluent strong telling way
Excellent communication skills, especially the ability to articulate a compelling message and influence, persuade and negotiate with all levels of people to achieve win-win situations
Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
Experience facilitating strong C-level meetings
Effective prioritization and time management skills
Proficient in MS Office Suite & Salesforce or similar
