Richelieu is currently seeking a Business Development Manager to take responsibility for growing our business with kitchen and bath dealers, retailers, distributors, and buying groups. The Business Development Manager is responsible for the overall relationship and management of day-to-day sales activities for our major kitchen and bath segment buying group. This group works largely with multi-family housing and other commercial projects, and provides guidance and expertise to high-level decision-makers regarding Richelieu's expansive kitchen and bath product lines for large-scale use. This person should be highly familiar with kitchen and bath design elements including various types of cabinets, closets and related components. They will maintain high-touch and service-focused interaction with members of the buying group, and will travel extensively across the Eastern United States.
Job Responsibility:
Schedule and hold both virtual and face-to-face meetings with new and existing customers
Drive growth of the region's sales, both through new customer acquisition as well as the development of existing relationships
Identify and analyze buying patterns of current accounts, and brainstorm ways to become their stronger, more inclusive supplier
Educate yourself on, and continuously stay up to date with, Richelieu’s product offerings as well as ever-changing market conditions and competitive analysis
Requirements:
Successful business development experience with retailers in the home improvement segment (building materials, construction, etc.)
Ability to be both a 'hunter' of new relationships and a 'farmer' to develop existing retail customers
Self-starter, able to work independently
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel as required (typically 3 days of travel every 2 weeks)
College degree is preferred but not required
