As Business Development Manager, you will support the Business Development Director in GAIN Creative Studio to drive the new business machine - strategy, planning and generating new leads and client opportunities is the order of the day. Working within our business development team, and across our GAIN new business functions, you’ll craft and deliver proposals, tenders and pitch presentations that delight and excite our prospects. As well as being involved in closing opportunities and onboarding new clients into the agency successfully.
Job Responsibility:
Nurture a long-term pipeline of new business prospects
Proactively develop well-considered outbound activity appropriate to our targets
Identify tender frameworks we need to be on and deliver what is required to make this happen
Attend conferences, events, and meetings to raise our profile amongst our target prospects
Actively seek out opportunities to develop our brand reputation, and work with internal teams to bring these to fruition
Support the BDD with the internal pitch process, lead rehearsals, and hone our collective ability to represent GAIN in the best possible light
Ensure that the agency process for pitch preparation is efficient, consistent and effective
Maintain excellent relationships across all internal departments so that you are able to secure the resources that you need when required
Drive the standard of new business output for the agency: push for excellence in creativity and innovation at all times whilst balancing investment vs opportunity
Communicate regularly to the wider internal GAIN team about the new business opportunities that we’re pursuing and where we’ve decided not to pursue opportunities
Monitor competitor activity, and where relevant and appropriate, produce activity that is more creative, innovative and relevant to our target prospects
Requirements:
Strong, proven business development experience
Excellent key account management skills
Experience working within a creative agency environment is essential
A strong writer and communicator when it comes to compiling and writing RFI's
Well versed in setting up and running Hubspot
Well versed in managing marketing budgets to help drive sales
Able to motivate and inspire others to do great work
Strong communicator, able to get complex ideas across to others in straightforward language
A skilled, engaging, charismatic and confident presenter
Able to demonstrate a high level of resilience
Commercially astute and able to quickly identify, understand and articulate a range of strategic business challenges to identify and leverage opportunities
Strong collaborator with multiple partners and proven influencing skills
Excellent attention to detail
Able to flex style and approach according to the audiences
