Job Description:

Our client, MineARC Systems, is the global leader in controlled environments and safety technologies for the underground mining, tunnelling, chemical processing, disaster relief, and biotechnology industries. Exporting to over 80 countries worldwide, they have seven offices and three manufacturing facilities globally, with Head Office based in Perth. They are seeking a dedicated and successful business development professional to promote and sell their products into the mining, tunnelling, construction, and chemical processing industries throughout West Africa. Please note, this is an on-site position based at our offices in Northriding.

Job Responsibility:

  • Proactively prospect and secure new business opportunities within the West African Market
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with Customers, Industry Stakeholders, and Mines Departments
  • Achieve budgeted sales targets and present sales results and opportunities to Management during quarterly consultations
  • Process sales leads, prepare and send quotes, follow up on opportunities, and negotiate terms and conditions of sale
  • Prepare and present tenders and presentations to potential clients
  • Develop and execute the MineARC West African region strategic plan
  • Travel extensively, including mine visits, commissioning, training, presentations, expos, and trade days
  • Coordinate service and operator training with customers and ensure chambers are commissioned and serviced to MineARC's specification
  • Maintain the MineARC West African Region Opportunities and CRM Databases
  • Motivate, train, and mentor agents and distributors within the region

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience in a similar Business Development or Sales role
  • Africa sales and business development experience - mining industry
  • Proven experience in selling and supplying plant and/or equipment into the mining, construction, or petrochemical industry
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales budgets and source/maintain customer accounts
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to provide product advice and information
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to present at seminars, conferences, and to Senior Management
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively and be vaccinated as required
  • Diploma or Degree would be an advantage
