Job Description

As the Business Development Manager for the South West, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, building lasting client relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver tailored solutions that meet client needs and align with Bizerba’s strategic objectives.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the South West region to achieve sales targets
  • Identify and engage with potential clients across various sectors, particularly within retail, food production, and industrial markets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and repeat business
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to tailor solutions and proposals that address client requirements
  • Lead contract negotiations and close deals, ensuring profitability and alignment with company policies
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform business decisions and strategy adjustments
  • Represent Bizerba at trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities across the South West region
  • Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for senior management

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a business development or sales role, ideally in the South West region
  • Strong understanding of sales cycles, contract negotiation, and client management
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote working environment
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the region as required

Nice to have

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a relevant discipline is desirable
  • Experience in technology, manufacturing, or related sectors

  • Monitor risk assessment process and provide assistance / advice to assessors to ensure risk assessments / safe systems of work are maintained and meet regulatory requirements
