Job Description

Paradigm Power Delivery is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Business Development Manager to join our growing team. This key role is responsible for supporting and executing the company’s sales strategy, aligning new business opportunities with Paradigm’s short and long-term goals, and fostering strong, lasting client relationships. The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in driving revenue growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities, expanding services with existing clients, and establishing new clients throughout the U.S. This individual will act as a primary point of contact for clients and prospects, ensuring alignment between client needs and Paradigm’s service offerings. The Business Development Manager will report directly to the Director of Business Development.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop and execute strategies to generate new business
  • Support the Director of Business Development with strategic planning and execution
  • Partner with Paradigm operations leaders to understand capacity, regional priorities, challenges, and roadblocks
  • Identify and evaluate potential clients, opportunities, and support the development of the win strategy
  • Develop and maintain solid relationships with clients and industry contacts
  • Collaborate and leverage larger Babcock Power sales team in client development efforts
  • Lead client communications, including meetings, presentations, and proposal development
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and market conditions to identify growth opportunities
  • Track and report on business development activities, pipeline status, and sales performance metrics
  • Monitor customer behaviors and key competitor activities
  • advise senior management on business initiatives and changes to keep Paradigm competitive
  • Support the creation and maintenance of business development materials including presentations, pamphlets, and company messaging
  • Partner with corporate resources to review market data and information as it relates to Paradigm sales strategy

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, Construction Management or related or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or client relationship management, preferably in the power delivery or energy sector
  • Ability to build positive relationships and rapport with both internal employees and external clients
  • Strong communication skills in both intimate, interpersonal environments and in presentation-style settings
  • Experience with CRM software
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to follow through on client contracts
