The Business Development Manager – OEM & Strategic Accounts ANZ will acquire, maintain & grow OEM and Strategic Accounts across Australia and New Zealand. The role will ensure the execution of sales & marketing objectives, strategies and tactics in the OEM and Strategic Accounts allocated for this role, in accordance with company goals and the strategic plan in Australia & New Zealand.
Job Responsibility
Responsible for achieving the OEM and Strategic Accounts sales & profit targets across ALL product categories in lubes and car care
Responsible for securing new OEM and Strategic National Account business in ANZ
Develop and maintain a target listing of all OEM's and Strategic Accounts in the region with data regarding key contacts, current incumbent, overall volume/business opportunities and existing contract time frames
Strategic Account Management of allocated OEM &Strategic Accounts
Develop and implement account plans to increase share of account (SOA) via GAP selling amongst existing roof tops or increasing roof top conversion to drive growth of year-on-year volume and profitability
Responsible for executing Pricing Strategy to ensure maximisation of margin
Assist in the execution of business/marketing plans in all allocated segments
Ensure that field sales staff and sales management are briefed on new initiatives and provide training and information to assist the engagement of our sales and customer service staff
Assist the Marketing/Product Manager for design co-ordination and dispatch of all promotional material including the development of Sales Play Books and Sales Platforms
Liaise with supply chain on product forecasting and trends with view to seamless product supply to designated market segments
Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time
Requirements
Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline, such as business or marketing would be highly regarded
10+ years sales within a relevant industry
Considerable experience in the automotive/heavy duty or industrial lubrication industry preferred
Proven high level sales experience and results driven
Ability to build relationships and display proven negotiation skills at senior levels of organisations (Procurement Teams, General Managers, CFOs, and CEOs)
Highly analytical and ability to manage price and margins in a commodity-based environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, through all levels of an organisation
Lubricant technical knowledge and experience in the lubricant market would be highly advantageous to this position
Ability to function constructively within a team environment, as well as working autonomously
A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to use initiative
Attention to detail
Problem-solving skills
Excellent computer skills and software knowledge, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
