Job Description:

Ezypay has been simplifying subscription payments for three decades, and we’re looking for a motivated Business Development Manager to help us take our growth to the next level across Australia and New Zealand. In this role, you’ll focus on building and managing a strong pipeline, nurturing partnerships, and driving new opportunities. You’ll work closely with software partners, franchise groups, and merchants, positioning Ezypay as their go-to payments solution. From prospecting through to closing, you’ll own the sales journey and play a key role in Ezypay’s continued success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Growing gross profit through partner share-of-wallet, partner growth, and new merchant acquisition
  • Building, maintaining, and converting a healthy pipeline with qualified opportunities at each stage
  • Building strong relationships with partners, merchants and decision-makers, positioning Ezypay as the preferred payment solution
  • Negotiating commercial terms that balance partner needs with Ezypay’s commercial objectives
  • Keeping our CRM up to date with accurate forecasting and activity tracking
  • Staying across market trends, competitor activity, and new vertical opportunities, sharing insights with leadership to shape strategy
  • Collaborating with growth, operations, and product teams to deliver a seamless merchant experience

Requirements:

  • 4+ years’ experience in business development or sales, ideally within fintech, SaaS, or payments
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field – Not Essential, but preferred
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to structure and negotiate effective deals
  • A track record of building and maintaining long-term client & partner relationships
  • Excellent communication skills - clear, persuasive, and confident across different channels
  • Drive, resilience, and motivation to consistently hit and exceed targets
  • Strong organisational skills focusing on CRM management and pipeline hygiene
  • The ability to thrive in an ever-evolving industry
  • A collaborative growth mindset and a willingness to share knowledge across the team
