Business Development Manager Children's social care and education services. £55,000 salary + 10% KPI bonus Hybrid working (2 days in the office) Leeds based Essential- Experience with referrals and commissioning This is a Business Development Manager position focused on driving growth within children's social care and education services. The role centres on increasing placements, building partnerships with local authorities, and ensuring services meet regulatory and operational standards

Job Responsibility

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities in the education/social care sector
  • Carry out market and competitor analysis
  • Support regional teams to maximise occupancy and service performance
  • Lead and manage a placements team
  • Oversee referral handling and matching processes
  • Monitor conversion rates, pipeline activity, and performance data
  • Build and maintain relationships with local authority commissioners and partners
  • Represent the organisation at sector events and meetings
  • Ensure services meet Ofsted regulations
  • Provide regulatory guidance internally
  • Produce reporting dashboards and trading packs
  • Analyse trends, risks, and opportunities to inform senior leadership decisions

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in business development/commissioning within children's social care
  • Strong experience managing referrals or placements
