Job Description:

BlueWater Federal is looking for a Business Development Manager-CENTCOM and SOCOM to join our team. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and shaping new business opportunities within assigned Federal markets and customers. This role serves as a front-end growth driver, owning early-stage customer engagement, opportunity identification, and pipeline development in close coordination with Capture Management, Solutions Architecture, Operations, and Executive Leadership.

Job Responsibility:

  • Own and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities within assigned agencies and accounts
  • Identify, qualify, and shape new business opportunities aligned to BlueWater Federal’s capabilities and strategic growth objectives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Government customers, acquisition offices, and mission stakeholders to understand evolving requirements and future needs
  • Identify and pursue strategic teaming relationships with large and small business partners to enhance capability depth, contract vehicle access, and win probability
  • Conduct targeted market and competitive research to support opportunity qualification, capture strategy, and win theme development
  • Track incumbent contracts, competitors, customer priorities, and procurement forecasts. Translate market intelligence into actionable recommendations for capture and proposal teams
  • Maintain accurate opportunity data, customer notes, and competitive insights within the Salesforce CRM tool
  • Collaborate with Capture Managers, Solutions Architects, and Proposal Manager during pre-RFI, RFI, RFQ, and RFP phases
  • Support proposal development through research, pricing inputs, and customer/context briefings
  • Represent BlueWater Federal at industry days, conferences, and partner meetings

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in US defense-related business development- CENTCOM and SOCOM
  • Must have at least an active Secret clearance
  • Familiarity with Federal Acquisition processes and contract vehicles
  • Demonstrated experience identifying and shaping Federal opportunities
  • Experience working with capture teams on competitive strategies
  • Experience using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) to manage pipelines and customer interactions
  • Willingness and ability to travel for customer and industry engagements

Nice to have:

Experience using AI-enabled productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Gemini) is desired
