At Meta, we have been pioneering advanced approaches to AI for over a decade. Through our open approach, we have been investing in the future of AI in collaboration with experts across the field on projects such as PyTorch, AI supercomputers, AI infrastructure, AI for accessibility, Llama 2 and more. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Business Development Manager to join our AI Partnerships Team at Meta. In this role you will play a crucial role in driving global partnerships to support our cutting-edge AI products. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving partnerships from term sheet negotiations through product launches, managing relationships, and growing, measuring, and optimizing partnership success.

Job Responsibility

  • Defining, negotiating, and closing high-impact partnerships and licensing agreements for Meta's AI products and technologies
  • Managing relationships with partners, identifying new opportunities, and growing partnership success
  • Working closely with product and engineering teams to define priorities and identify key opportunities
  • Managing external and internal cross-functional teams when integrating products or technologies with external partners
  • Conducting market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the AI industry
  • Working cross-functionally with legal, marketing, finance, product, and engineering teams to negotiate deal terms, drive special projects, advocate internally for partners, and educate on industry trends
  • Providing regular reports and updates on partnership activity and performance

Requirements

  • 12+ years of work experience including in business development, strategy or related fields
  • Experience leading complex cross-functional teams to orchestrate and complete deals, including experience interpreting legal documents and working with attorneys to complete agreements
  • Experience developing and driving business strategies and initiatives with executive stakeholders
  • Experience working closely with product and engineering teams
  • Experience developing working relationships inside and outside an immediate team or partner organization
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of the AI ecosystem and competitive landscape including the technology, what large and small companies are doing, industry alliances, and broader government and regulatory positions
  • Experience with licensing and AI products and technologies such as AI models, use-cases, and systems
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology or related field

  • MBA or advanced technical degree such as MSCS and MSEE
  • Experience managing and driving AI initiatives from inception to launch successfully with partners
  • Experience in content and data licensing deals
