Mantell Associates is partnered with an innovative Biotechnology company, who is seeking an experienced, commercially focused Business Development Manager – Europe to drive strategic growth and establish high‑impact partnerships across key European markets. This role presents an exciting opportunity to play a defining role in shaping our commercial footprint in Europe and to contribute directly to the company’s growth strategy.
Job Responsibility:
Identify, develop and lead new business opportunities across European territories with a focus on strategic partnerships, collaborations and revenue generation
Build and maintain strong commercial relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, academic and strategic partners
Drive full commercial deal cycles, from lead identification and qualification through proposal development, negotiation and contract closure
Work closely with cross‑functional teams – including R&D, Marketing, Regulatory and Operations – to align commercial strategy with product development and market needs
Monitor market and competitor trends, provide actionable insights, and refine business strategies to ensure competitive positioning
Represent the company at key industry conferences, partnering events and stakeholder meetings throughout Europe
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business Administration or related field
Proven success in business development, alliance management or strategic sales roles within the biotechnology, pharmaceutical or life sciences sectors
Strong commercial acumen with a track record of closing complex commercial deals and managing cross‑border partnerships
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Fluent in English
Comfortable working in an international, fast‑paced and matrixed environment with frequent travel across Europe
Nice to have:
proficiency in additional European languages (e.g., Spanish, German, French)
