Job Description:

Business development intern supporting a team of experts across customer or technology segments, performing tasks such as creating communications, reporting data, arranging events, preparing pricing, and analyzing market trends. The role is flexible and evolves based on business needs throughout the year.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the business development team
  • Reporting and analysis of business data
  • Create and execute Power Bi business trackers and executive dashboards
  • Conduct market share and sellout analysis
  • Provide monthly business analysis per partner
  • Update Business data Masterfile
  • Inventory planning
  • Manage aged inventory
  • Report on stock and pricing
  • Communications with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage promotions and programmes
  • Collaborate on volunteering and charity initiatives
  • Support other interns
  • Participate in HPE intern programme activities
  • Sales readiness training programme
  • Shadow BDMs during customer or partner activities.

Requirements:

  • Must be in 2nd year of a four-year degree requiring a 3rd-year industrial placement
  • Expected to achieve a minimum of 2:1 grade
  • Eligible to work in the UK
  • Available to commence the placement at the beginning of July 2025 for 13 months
  • Self-motivation to work independently
  • Confident in resourcefulness with awareness of when to ask for help
  • Good time management and organisational skills
  • Adaptable to new and evolving requirements
  • Comfortable under tight timescales
  • Prepared to travel when necessary
  • Creativity in approaching projects
  • Exceptional written, visual and oral communication skills
  • Comfort talking to people of all seniority levels
  • Team oriented and collaborative mindset.
