As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities and introducing GlobalData's healthcare and pharmaceutical intelligence solutions to senior decision-makers across Brazil and the wider LATAM region. You will play a critical role in building relationships with pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, healthcare, and related organizations, helping clients understand how GlobalData's insights can support strategic decision-making and business growth. Working closely with commercial and account management teams, you will develop the skills required to succeed in consultative B2B sales while contributing directly to the growth of our Healthcare business.
Job Responsibility
Own the first conversation. Engage senior decision-makers and introduce GlobalData's healthcare intelligence and consulting capabilities to prospective clients
Create new opportunities. Research, identify, and prospect target accounts through phone, email, LinkedIn, industry events, and other outbound channels
Build meaningful relationships. Develop relationships with stakeholders across pharmaceutical, biotech, medtech, healthcare, and related organizations
Deliver insight-led outreach. Create personalized and relevant messaging that demonstrates an understanding of client challenges and market trends
Develop a qualified pipeline. Generate and manage high-quality sales opportunities that support long-term revenue growth
Collaborate across teams. Partner closely with Account Managers, Business Development colleagues, analysts, and consulting teams to maximize commercial opportunities
Represent GlobalData in the market. Support industry conferences, events, and networking activities to strengthen brand awareness and generate new business opportunities
Achieve and exceed targets. Consistently deliver against pipeline generation and business development objectives
Requirements
6 months to 2 years of experience in sales, business development, lead generation, recruitment, or other customer-facing commercial roles
Experience working in quota-carrying, target-driven, or activity-KPI-driven environments
Demonstrated ability to prospect, conduct outbound outreach, and generate new business opportunities
Strong research skills with the ability to identify target accounts, key stakeholders, and commercial opportunities
Native-level Brazilian Portuguese and professional-level English
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the confidence to engage senior business stakeholders
Hunter mentality with a proactive, self-starting approach to opening new opportunities
Intellectual curiosity and a genuine interest in understanding client challenges within the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and life sciences sectors
Resilience and persistence when working through longer, relationship-driven sales cycles
Ability to learn and communicate complex data, intelligence, research, or consulting solutions in a clear and compelling way
Collaborative mindset and willingness to work closely with colleagues across sales, account management, consulting, and research teams
Comfortable operating with autonomy and navigating ambiguity in a dynamic commercial environment
Nice to have
Experience in a B2B environment, particularly SaaS, market intelligence, data and analytics, consulting, professional services, or healthcare-related sectors
Experience engaging Director, VP, or C-suite level stakeholders
Spanish language skills
Existing relationships within Brazilian or LATAM healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations
Experience attending industry conferences, trade shows, or networking events
