We’re looking for a confident and capable Business Development Executive living within 1 hour of Sheffield, to join a well-established automotive company. This field-based role offers an exciting opportunity to take full ownership of a territory and play a key role in driving revenue growth within the automotive sector. The role will have a remote base with occasional visit to their Northern UK office.
Job Responsibility:
Proactively identify, approach, and convert new business opportunities
Build meaningful relationships with stakeholders across target companies
Develop tailored sales strategies and implement them across your territory
Attend meetings, events, and networking opportunities to represent the brand
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new clients
Provide regular updates on pipeline activity, sales forecasts, and market insights
Consistently meet or exceed sales KPIs and business targets
Requirements:
Proven track record in a B2B field-sales role to automotive or fleet motor insurance clients (essential)
Strong grasp of the full sales lifecycle — from lead generation to closing
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Comfortable using CRM systems and interpreting sales data to inform decisions
Experience in a field-based sales role would be advantageous
Self-motivated, proactive, ‘hunter sales’ profile
A confident communicator who thrives in client-facing situations
Resilient and adaptable with a positive, can-do attitude
Results-focused with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
