Amentum is seeking a Director, Business Development who will lead/support the Strategic Business Unit's (SBU's) business development efforts, in the DOE and NNSA tier 2 market.
Job Responsibility
Lead business development efforts
coordinating workloads, priorities, and schedules
monitoring and evaluating staff performance
develop business development objectives, strategies, and plans
participate in planning for future development and growth
prepare business development plans
explore, research, and recommend teaming agreements, joint ventures, acquisitions, and/or sale(s) of assets
conduct long-range planning
develop and implement effective business development campaigns
maintain and develop business development contacts
ensure effective operation of the proposal office
participate in proposal preparation
define and develop proposal strategies
identify cost, resource, and schedule requirements
develop and maintain database on competitors and potential teaming partners
track, monitor, and report on bids and business opportunities
appraise and evaluate lost bids
report on business development results
represent the organization with customers, partners, competitors, government agencies, etc.
ensure compliance with policies and laws
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related field
15 years of progressive business development experience
excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
thorough understanding of government contracting/customers and the proposal process
articulate with executive presence
creative and forward-looking
clear thinker and decision-maker
change agent
proven track record of continuous business development activities
