Mantell Associates is partnered with a a trailblazing chem-tech organisation headquartered in the UK, who is seeking an accomplished Business Development Director to lead commercial strategy, drive new revenue opportunities, and build high-impact partnerships across global markets.
Job Responsibility:
Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies that drive revenue growth and market expansion for innovative chem-tech solutions
Identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities with strategic partners, industrial clients, and key sector stakeholders
Build and nurture strong senior-level relationships with prospective and existing clients to understand their needs and position the organisation’s value proposition effectively
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (product, technical, operations, marketing) to align commercial initiatives with customer demands and delivery capabilities
Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences, and forums to elevate brand visibility and cultivate prospects
Lead contract negotiations, proposals, and commercial agreements while ensuring alignment with organisational goals and client expectations
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging sector opportunities to inform strategic planning and organisational positioning
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Business, or related field
advanced or postgraduate qualification preferred
Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in business development or commercial leadership roles within technology-driven or industrial B2B environments
Demonstrated track record of securing high-value partnerships and driving revenue growth, ideally within chemical technology, sustainability solutions, or related sectors
Strong commercial acumen with excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to translate market insights into executable business strategies
Highly motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced innovation environment
