This is a part-time Business Development Consultant role to help shape and execute a confidential, venture-backed biotech company's partnering strategy—hands-on, operational, and outcome-driven. Expected commitment: 1–2 days per week, with full flexibility.
Job Responsibility:
Identify and develop partnership opportunities
Pursue transaction opportunities including licensing, broader strategic collaborations, and where relevant M&A pathways
Help secure partnerships that can co-fund or enable future clinical studies (e.g., Phase 2a)
Systematically engage decision-makers across a defined target list of companies in Asia, North America and Europe
Activate your personal network to open doors and generate high-quality meetings with the right stakeholders (e.g., BD leadership, therapeutic area heads, innovation, corporate development)
Represent the company at key international conferences to build momentum and advance active dialogues
Drive the process from first contact through early negotiations and initial due diligence in close collaboration with the company’s leadership team and board
Ensure the company’s value proposition and narrative are communicated clearly and tailored to each prospective partner
Provide structured progress reporting against agreed success criteria (e.g., qualified meetings, active dialogues, partnership milestones)
Requirements:
Proven track record in Business Development within biotech/pharma (or highly relevant medtech partnering)
A strong, active network in organ transplantation, immunology or closely related therapeutic areas
