Job Description

As Business Development Associate Manager at Arrive, you will play a vital role in the development of our business as we transition from a thriving start-up to a major player in the 3PL space. From day one, you will leverage your industry knowledge and high energy to develop new sales reps in the Combine, improve upon our existing customer relationships, and develop yourself into a leader at Arrive. This is an opportunity to apply your robust freight brokerage expertise to a leadership role.

Job Responsibility

  • Become an expert in the Arrive business model, our competitive advantages, and our soon-to-be proprietary software
  • Act as a liaison for other departments and department leaders for their respective team
  • Work with a team of new business development reps to strategically develop their relationships with existing and prospective customers
  • focusing on those newest to sales and the industry
  • Set expectations for your team and ensure each rep is meeting/exceeding their metrics goals through coaching and incentives
  • Strengthen your reps’ knowledge of the market and assist with pricing/negotiation as needed
  • Oversee award management to ensure we’re accepting the appropriate shipments, the customer is giving us the right volume and lanes, and we’re evaluating profitability
  • Support the individual contributors for the team dispatch control board, including appointment, load, and pricing management
  • Collaborate with assigned sales manager to drive best practices and efficiency improvement for the team
  • Assist with aging to limit invoicing issues and manage DSOs
  • Utilize the new customer onboarding SOP to facilitate an efficient and accurate onboarding that is a differentiator for Arrive Logistics
  • Support and implement service initiatives

Requirements

  • An Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study and at least three years of previous experience in Customer Sales or Account Management at a 3PL or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous management experience is preferred
  • An existing book of business and account contacts is preferred
  • Demonstrated market awareness and ability to price TL shipments accordingly
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work collaboratively and cross-functionally with other team members to achieve results
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite and Google Suite
  • Able to travel up to 10% of the time
  • Desire to develop the next generation of freight brokers
