Job Description:

The Business Development Analyst role involves collecting and processing data, maintaining databases on industry intelligence, and supporting feasibility studies and economic financial models. Responsibilities include screening business proposals, assessing business plans, attending industry events, and performing other tasks directed by the manager. The education and skill requirements include 2-5 years of experience in business development, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency in MS Office with an emphasis on Excel.

Job Responsibility:

Collect and Process data and intelligence. Help develop and maintain databases on industry intelligence. Help screen low to moderately complex business proposals using pre-defined filtering criteria. Extract pertinent data from feasibility studies as inputs to business planning
Support pre-feasibility and feasibility studies to establish technical, financial and marketing viability of new ventures. Support the development of economic financial models for moderately complex business ventures
Follow relevant industry news independently and update senior staff
Attend relevant industry events for information collection and networking purposes. Support presentation development
Help assess 3rd party business plans for investment prioritization
Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed by the Manager.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2-5 years of work experience in business development
will have some industry expertise or knowledge of specific venturing activities such as commercialization, spin-offs or joint venturing
Experience with database and intelligence gathering work preferred
Able to multi-task and deliver on time
Strong communication skills and analytical thinking
Good proficiency in MS office, with strong Excel skills being preferred.
