DynaPore is a spinout from Tobias Erb’s lab at the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology. We are building simple and robust diagnostic products to make fast and accurate testing accessible worldwide. Our engineered dynamic pore nanotechnology enables direct, label-free detection of biological interactions via electrical current changes, providing rapid, specific identification of contaminants and pathogens, even in complex samples. As the Business Developer, you will refine and execute DynaPore’s commercialization strategy. Working closely with our technical team, the role requires market exploration, strategic partnership development, and proactive representation of the startup. Excellent candidates will enthusiastically engage with the R&D team in the lab to synergize technical and commercial development. In this role, you will provide both strategic direction and hands-on execution.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct outreach to potential customers to refine product–market fit
Shape DynaPore’s messaging for technical, commercial, and investor audiences online and in person
Translate technical capabilities into clear, compelling commercial value propositions
Research and develop licensing, distribution, and co-development opportunities
Support the R&D team during key experiments
Requirements:
Experience developing commercial strategy in biotechnology, diagnostics or related sector
Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have:
Enthusiasm and flexibility to support with technical development and react to changes
