Job Description

We are supporting an international renewable energy developer in the search for a Business Development Manager to support the growth of its pipeline across Germany. The role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and developing utility-scale solar, onshore wind, and energy storage projects, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders including landowners, municipalities, and co-development partners. This is an opportunity to join an established international platform with a strong and growing presence in the European renewable energy market.

Job Responsibility

  • Identify and develop new opportunities across onshore wind, solar, and BESS projects
  • Implement regional business development strategies aligned with growth objectives
  • Evaluate project opportunities from technical, commercial, and financial perspectives
  • Support feasibility studies, engineering input, and environmental assessments
  • Manage relationships with municipalities, landowners, co-developers, and consultants
  • Assess greenfield, co-development, and M&A opportunities
  • Support due diligence and project acquisition processes
  • Represent the business at industry events and strengthen market presence in Germany
  • Support broader business development and project activities as required

Requirements

  • 2–3 years’ experience in the renewable energy sector
  • Strong understanding of project development processes in Germany
  • Experience assessing opportunities from commercial, technical, and financial perspectives
  • Confident stakeholder management skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities
  • Fluent in German and English (required)
  • Willingness to travel across Germany as needed
