Ikea plant-based food products include Grains & Bakery, Beverage, Vegetable & Fruit, Condiments, Confectionary and Snacks, covering both Food Service and Consumer Packaged Goods from both production suppliers and Traders. Job Responsibility:

  • Drive the affordability perspective of the IKEA business model
  • Be responsible for suppliers/service providers and developing the value chain
  • Ensure that IKEA suppliers/service providers perform according to democratic design principles
  • Execute IKEA's key strategies and deliver results by working with suppliers/service providers and internal stakeholders
  • Take a holistic approach to business with the aim of optimizing the value chain
  • Act as the link between the range and the capabilities of suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with processes and regulations by coordinating with internal and external partners
  • Lead their specific business at an overall level
  • Strongly contribute to becoming a price leader and/or industry leader
  • Stay closely attuned to the supplier market
  • Adopt a cost-based approach to foster partnerships
  • Identify and act on business opportunities using a fact-based approach
  • Develop and maintain professional business relationships with suppliers/service providers

  • Purchase not only products and services but also acquire the complete offer package

  • Participate in group decision-making by providing accurate information from suppliers/service providers
  • Represent IKEA to the supplier/service provider

Requirements:

  • Food industry expertise will be preferred, but not mandatory for internal candidates
  • Food industry purchasing experience will be mandatory for external candidates
  • proficient English and Mandarin
  • Good supply chain, purchasing and supplier management experience
  • Solid legal & financial knowledge
  • Strong negotiation skills and communication capabilities
