Job Description

The Business Consulting Director is responsible for contract administration and delivery of the services under the Business Support Services contract. He/she will provide complex program management, delivery oversight, and support business growth by performing the following duties: Contract administration includes but not limited to oversight of development of processes, and tools used to manage the contract and follow the Contract Project Management Guide. Formal communication and correspondence with the client CIO and other points of contact for the Business Support Services contract. Collaborate with client and client partner team members to achieve the best outcomes for client. Responsible for the health and quality of the projects assigned including staffing, quality of client deliverables and status reports. Oversees Business Support Services team including required training, project functions, performance assessments and managing project execution. Manage other leaders and team members, ensuring alignment with NTT DATA and TennCare culture. Provide authoritative advice to Leadership and influence long-term strategic plans for supporting the client. Suggest offerings and strategies for entering new markets in defined industry areas. Develop alternatives for solutions to problems and, where appropriate, assist in implementing improved or new business processes or automated systems. Provide sales support capabilities including: Identifying new business opportunities, Pre-marketing support, Direct marketing to Clients and prospects, Proposal development, Competitive analysis, Marketing messages and content. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of Project Management / Leadership experience in a Medicaid, Eligibility, or other HHS environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in integration of multiple solutions, vendors, and/or technologies
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience building and directing project teams
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an executive or project director role working directly with state HHS Stakeholders
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience managing multi-vendor projects
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with Medicaid Certification and/or CMS procurement requirements
  • PMP Certification
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Nice to have

  • Client-facing delivery experience with Medicaid and Eligibility systems
  • Working knowledge of TennCare Medicaid Enterprise Systems Transformation Initiative
  • Strong customer service attitude
  • Prior experience as a leader in state government preferred
