The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Secure Children's Home operates in full compliance with relevant legislation, statutory guidance, regulatory requirements, and council policies. The role provides oversight of safeguarding, incident monitoring, and the lawful and proportionate use of physical intervention, promoting high standards of practice that prioritise the safety, welfare, dignity, and rights of children and young people. Working closely with managers, staff, and external partners, the postholder supports inspection readiness, quality assurance, and continuous improvement within a regulated residential care environment.
Job Responsibility:
Ensuring that the Secure Children's Home operates in full compliance with relevant legislation, statutory guidance, regulatory requirements, and council policies
Providing oversight of safeguarding, incident monitoring, and the lawful and proportionate use of physical intervention
Promoting high standards of practice that prioritise the safety, welfare, dignity, and rights of children and young people
Supporting inspection readiness, quality assurance, and continuous improvement within a regulated residential care environment
Requirements:
Highly organised and detail-focused professional with a strong commitment to safeguarding and quality
Sound understanding of compliance within regulated care environments
Confidence to apply legislation, guidance, and policy to everyday practice
Ability to exercise professional judgement, identify risks, and escalate concerns appropriately
Communicates clearly, works well both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Motivated by improving outcomes and ensuring safe, lawful, and child-centred practice for children and young people
