Job Description

The City of Chandler Management Services Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Business Compliance Inspector. The position is scheduled to work Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. This is not a remote position.

Job Responsibility

  • Working directly with business owners to determine City and State compliance
  • advising businesses about license and registration requirements
  • educating businesses about Transaction Privilege (sales) tax responsibility
  • assisting businesses to establish and maintain compliance
  • office-based and field-based responsibilities

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or GED with 1 year of college coursework in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Applications
  • and 2 years of experience in sales tax, inspection, or business compliance relating to codes and regulations
  • and a valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
  • or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

Nice to have

ArcGIS Pro or similar mapping software experience
