We are looking for a motivated and experienced Business Banking Manager to join a high-performing team within one of Australia’s leading financial institutions. In this role, you will be the face of the bank for our Small to Medium Enterprise (SME) customers, providing tailored financial solutions that help local businesses thrive. This is a dynamic role that combines relationship management, financial analysis, and business development. You will manage an existing portfolio of diverse business clients while actively seeking opportunities to grow the network through proactive community engagement.
Job Responsibility
Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of business customers, understanding their unique goals and providing end-to-end banking support
Business Development: Identify and execute opportunities to acquire new business customers and expand market share within the local region
Lending & Credit Analysis: Manage the end-to-end lending process, including financial modeling, credit submissions, and annual reviews, ensuring high-quality risk management
Solution Design: Recommend a suite of products including business loans, equipment finance, working capital, and transaction accounts to meet client needs
Community Engagement: Build a strong local presence by networking with key centers of influence, such as accountants and brokers
Requirements
Proven experience in Business Banking or Commercial Lending
Strong financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex financial statements and tax returns
Demonstrated success in business development and achieving growth targets
Excellent communication and negotiation skills with a customer-centric mindset
Relevant tertiary qualifications (Business, Finance, or Economics) or equivalent industry experience
