We are supporting a major tier-1 banking organisation building a next-generation Customer Master Data platform within a complex, multi-country enterprise environment. The client is strengthening their group-wide customer data capabilities and is seeking a senior Business Architect / Customer Domain Expert to bring a critical “fresh eyes” perspective to a solution already in development.
Job Responsibility:
Review and critically assess the Customer Master Data solution built to date
Challenge design decisions, workflows, and system configuration from a business and customer-domain perspective
Compare the new solution with legacy systems and the wider ecosystem to avoid repeating historical pitfalls
Identify overlaps, gaps, and discrepancies in customer master data requirements across countries
Help define minimal, scalable customer data attributes and workflows for group-wide use
Contribute to shaping a long-term, future-proof roadmap
Collaborate closely with Head Office and local stakeholders (initially Romania)
Deliver practical, actionable recommendations, not just slide decks
Requirements:
Strong experience with customer domain and customer master data in banking, insurance, or financial services
Proven background in enterprise-scale, cross-country business or data architecture initiatives
Deep understanding of customer data lifecycle in local and global banking environments
Ability to assess complex solutions holistically and challenge constructively
Experience balancing local needs with group-level standardisation and scalability
Excellent analytical and stakeholder communication skills
Nice to have:
Experience with group-wide or global data platforms
Exposure to customer data governance frameworks
High-level understanding of enterprise integration patterns
Experience reviewing or improving large-scale legacy replacement initiatives
