The Staff Business Architect – Time Recording and Management, is a technical leadership role within Enterprise technology, responsible for supporting the business architecture and delivery of Time platforms and services ensuring technology solutions are delivered end-to-end in line with architectural standards, delivering on business capability and collaboration with support operations. This role will lead matrix projects and 3rd party resource. The span of the role will encompass business requirements, functional design, testing, delivery, and strategic planning.
Job Responsibility:
Responsible for the translation of business needs to technical solution in support of project delivery and success
Partner with teams to understand business requirements
Participate in functional and technical design sessions
Responsible for creating documentation (ex. requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, technical specs, design documents, process flows, etc.)
Participate in agile ceremonies (ex. scrum, sprint planning, demos, etc.)
Partner with technical implementation team(s) to provide documentation or information needed, ensure what is built aligns to the requirements
Responsible for traceability of business requirements through technical specs and test cases
Work with the business to confirm test scenarios, validate design, test data & results
Execute testing including developing, reviewing or executing test scripts, test results, defect triage
Validating product to acceptance criteria
Responsible for inputs into the Risks, Actions, Issues and Decisions (RAID) log pertaining to business architecture
proactively identify issues and analyze options to resolve
work with the project management team
Collaborates closely with partners across the organization including business partners, solution architects, and delivery managers
Builds strong relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders at multiple levels, from end users to executives, across the enterprise
Requirements:
Senior-level business-oriented SR. BA – (similar to a Senior Business Systems Analyst) to support a timecard processing project, focusing on requirements gathering, business process understanding, and functional IT work rather than technical development
A minimum of 5 years’ experience on large Finance / Time projects
10 years overall ERP experience
Time Recording and Management – 3rd party front-end SaaS solutions with integration to SAP back office (THIS IS A MUST HAVE)
Strong background in timecard, payroll, or similar business processes
prior experience in these areas is critical for success
Experience leading or driving projects, not just performing transactional tasks
Ability to work with minimal guidance and proactively solve problems
BA/BS Degree Comp Sci/IS, Business Finance
Nice to have:
Prior experience of working in a Media environment is advantageous
