Job Description

Robert Half is looking for a skilled Business Applications Manager to oversee and enhance core business systems for our client in the Madison area. This role is ideal for a hands-on IT leader who combines technical depth with strong project delivery skills and the ability to partner effectively with business stakeholders.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead the administration, improvement, and integration of key business systems, including ERP, CRM, analytics, and workflow automation platforms
  • Manage and mentor a team of IT professionals, ensuring effective allocation of resources, timely project delivery, and high-quality outcomes
  • Oversee full project lifecycles, from planning and execution to reporting and completion, to ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope
  • Collaborate with leaders across the organization to translate business needs into practical, technology-driven solutions
  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across interconnected systems
  • Use project management tools to track progress, monitor workflows, and generate reports
  • Provide training, guidance, and documentation to enable optimal system use and adoption
  • Create and maintain clear documentation for system processes, workflows, and technical procedures

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive IT experience, including 2+ years of leadership
  • Demonstrated success managing technical or cross-functional initiatives
  • formal project management or agile training is a plus
  • Hands-on experience supporting enterprise business systems such as ERP, CRM, analytics, or integration platforms
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience using project tracking or workflow management tools
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
