As a Business Analyst, you will asses complex business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the Business to deliver against its objectives. They are responsible for providing relevant project and business teams with expert knowledge and advice to help evaluate business requirements, assess possible solutions and measure implementation against requirements. The ability to break down complex problems into their constituents' parts forms an essential part of this role.
Job Responsibility:
Analyse network performance across Letters and Parcels to identify current-state inefficiencies and gaps in meeting future growth projections and customer expectations
Gathering and interpreting information from a range of sources, and developing data models of operational processes, to identify and recommend solutions tailored to suit different product, geographic and volume contexts (metro, regional, remote)
Identification of project business benefits by measuring process improvements (e.g. timing) or other cost/benefit analysis
Providing data driven strategic and operational analysis and insights to support decision-making that enables Network Operations to meet corporate goals in growth, improved operational efficiency and effectiveness as well as meeting dynamic customer expectations
Contribute to the development of design principles and future operating models that enhance customer experience and operational efficiency
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, customer service & IT to ensure alignment and buy-in for proposed solutions
Requirements:
Experience in successfully analysing complex business issues and processes using analytical methodologies, frameworks and tools to develop insights into operational performance and identify and quantify opportunities to improve operational efficiency
Demonstrated ability in sourcing and analysing cost data to develop cost models to determine the impact of proposed operational changes on baseline operating cost
Excellent stakeholder management and verbal and written communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences
Comfortable working in a large, multi-division organisation with well-defined process, protocols and authority levels
Track record working in a large project or program environment delivering to tight deadlines
Nice to have:
Preferable experience working in a supply chain / manufacturing environment with knowledge of operational processes
Preferably Melbourne-based, but open to opportunities in other areas
Tertiary qualified in a related discipline (Business, Commerce, Logistics, Finance, or similar)
