Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team in the greater Salt Lake City, Utah, area on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. In this role, you will collaborate with business and IT teams to analyze data needs, develop reporting solutions, and support project success within the financial services industry. This position requires a strong ability to translate complex concepts into actionable insights and deliverables while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

Job Responsibility:

Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify data requirements and create mockups and workflows that meet project objectives
Assess reporting needs and develop tailored solutions aligned with strategic goals
Analyze existing corporate data sources and their relationships to support ongoing projects
Extract and manipulate data using various tools, including spreadsheets, reporting software, and project management applications
Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of reports, dashboards, and analyses while maintaining compliance with established controls
Provide training and support to end users on accessing and utilizing requirements and dashboards
Work closely with project managers to interpret and analyze statistical and performance data
Identify trends, exceptions, and potential concerns, and propose actionable recommendations based on data projections
Assist IT, QA, and business teams during testing and rollout phases of projects
Support credit union personnel by addressing reporting and analysis needs.

Requirements:

A minimum of 10 years of experience in gathering and maintaining project requirements within technical and financial institutions
Proficiency in business intelligence tools and relational database structures
Familiarity with Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint is preferred
Strong skills in dashboard design and delivery
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and respond to issues promptly
Understanding of Agile Scrum methodologies and experience with user story creation
Knowledge of the financial services industry is highly desired.
