As a Business Analyst, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that client projects are well-defined, strategically planned, and smoothly executed. This role demands someone who is both analytical and people-oriented — able to understand problems deeply, document them clearly, and guide the team toward execution with precision.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct discovery calls with clients to understand their business needs, pain points, and objectives
Translate client ideas into functional and technical requirements
Research existing systems, competitors, and user flows to identify process gaps
Prioritize requirements and maintain clarity between must-haves and nice-to-haves
Create detailed project documentation: Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Specification Documents (FSD), User Stories & Acceptance Criteria, Workflow Diagrams, Use Cases, and Process Maps
Maintain up-to-date documentation in shared tools like Notion, Confluence, or Google Workspace
Ensure the development team fully understands the “why” and “what” behind every feature
Act as the bridge between client and internal teams
Explain technical details to non-technical clients clearly
Gather feedback from developers, testers, and designers — and translate it into client updates
Ensure requirements are implemented correctly and verified during testing
Manage multiple client accounts, track deliverables, and ensure consistent communication
Maintain project dashboards, progress reports, and change logs
Identify and escalate potential project risks early
Ensure smooth client experience through proactive updates and professional communication
Build and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for recurring workflows
Identify bottlenecks in project processes and suggest improvements
Work with the founders to optimize internal documentation and delivery structures
Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business, IT, or related field
1–4 years of experience as a Business Analyst (preferably in an IT company)
Experience in writing requirement documentation and managing client communications
Strong understanding of IT project lifecycles (especially web & mobile app projects)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
Ability to convert client discussions into clear, structured documentation
Ownership mindset — take full responsibility for your projects and outcomes
High attention to detail and a love for process improvement
Nice to have:
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum methodology is a plus
