We are looking for a Business Analyst to support a global Workday HCM initiative for an organization operating across multiple subsidiaries. This Long-term Contract position is based in San Antonio, Texas, and will focus on strengthening payroll, benefits, and workforce process consistency through detailed analysis and stakeholder collaboration. The role will work closely with business teams and project partners to convert operational needs into clear, actionable requirements that support enterprise-wide alignment and compliance.
Job Responsibility:
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements across HR, payroll, benefits, and related workforce processes spanning multiple entities
Evaluate existing scheduling models, pay structures, and leave programs to identify opportunities for simplification and standardization
Convert business priorities into well-defined requirements that can be used by Workday teams for configuration and solution design
Partner with stakeholders across departments and regions to align process decisions and promote consistent operating practices
Support payroll and benefits testing activities by validating outcomes, tracking issues, and helping resolve gaps before deployment
Coordinate with the systems integrator and internal project teams to monitor progress, maintain documentation, and support delivery milestones using tools such as Smartsheet and Jira
Perform gap analysis on current and future-state processes to improve operational efficiency and compliance across subsidiaries
Contribute to global process alignment efforts by helping harmonize payroll cycles, work schedules, and policy-driven HR practices
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in business analysis within HR, HCM, or enterprise process environments
Hands-on experience supporting Workday HCM implementations or enhancement initiatives
Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits operations, including process dependencies and testing considerations
Experience working in global, multi-entity, or highly matrixed organizations
Ability to lead requirements discussions, document business needs clearly, and translate findings into actionable deliverables
Proficiency with analysis and project tracking tools such as Smartsheet and Jira
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across business and technical teams
Familiarity with Agile or Scrum delivery environments and structured gap analysis methods
