The Business Analyst (BA) will act as a key interface between clients and the software development team, ensuring that business needs are clearly understood, well-documented, and can effectively be translated into actionable technical requirements. The role requires strong facilitation, analytical, and communication skills, as well as a solid understanding of modern software development life cycle practices (Agile approaches, development artifacts, integrations, CI/CD, QA, testing etc.).
Job Responsibility:
Lead, run and document workshops, interviews, and discovery sessions with clients
Facilitate cross-functional discussions between stakeholders, product owners, developers, and QA teams
Capture, validate, and prioritize business requirements
Document using processes modelling (such as BPMN, UML, flow diagrams, etc.)
Carry out and document gap analysis and impact assessment
Maintain a clear requirements traceability matrix
Collaborate with software architects and developers
Support the definition of data models, APIs, and integration points
Work with QA teams to define acceptance tests
Participate in sprint reviews, backlog prioritisation, and retrospectives
Contribute to refinement of analysis, documentation, and stakeholder engagement methodologies
Stay current with trends in software delivery, business analysis standards, and Agile frameworks
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
3+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in software development environments
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and software development lifecycles
Excellent facilitation, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
Excellent client-facing communication
Proven ability to translate and document complex business problems into structured business and technical requirements
Nice to have:
Experience with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
Exposure to UX/UI discussions and an understanding of user-centered design principles
Familiarity with data analysis, APIs, and system integration concepts
Certification (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile BA) considered an asset
