We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Tampa, Florida. This role is essential for successfully managing a high-priority HR and payroll data migration project within a tight deadline. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data transitions and accurate payroll configurations.
Job Responsibility:
Lead the migration of payroll and employee data from Paylocity to the designated system
Collaborate with HR and IT teams to map essential data fields and ensure proper alignment
Validate migrated data, identify discrepancies, and implement solutions to address issues
Configure payroll settings such as earnings codes, deduction codes, and historical payroll data requirements
Coordinate with external vendors to facilitate payroll system cutover activities
Conduct and support payroll testing processes, including parallel payroll runs and exception management
Develop and execute validation scripts to ensure accuracy of payroll results
Monitor and resolve issues during testing to ensure a smooth transition
Provide detailed documentation for all migration and testing activities
Maintain clear communication with stakeholders to report progress and address concerns
Requirements:
Demonstrated experience in migrating payroll and employee data into new systems
Strong ability to work effectively with both business and technical teams
Expertise in business analysis, including gap analysis and document review
Proficiency in Agile Scrum methodologies
Skilled in data coordination, gathering, and migration processes
Exceptional problem-solving abilities to address discrepancies during testing
Strong communication skills to engage with stakeholders and external vendors
Attention to detail and ability to manage time-sensitive projects
