Job Description

Rotorua Lakes Council is looking for a skilled and driven Business Analyst to join our Information Services team. This is a key role where you will help shape business solutions, drive improvements, and ensure our systems and processes align with Council’s strategic objectives and policies. Job Responsibility

  • Gather, analyse and clarify business requirements, ensuring accuracy and minimal ambiguity
  • Engage with a wide range of stakeholders to understand needs and gain buy-in
  • Review business processes and systems to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Ensure solutions align with Rotorua Lakes Council policies, standards, and strategic objectives
  • Manage feature scope and contribute to prioritisation decisions
  • Lead application and process design changes
  • Produce clear, comprehensive documentation for systems and processes
  • Act as the key liaison between business users and technical teams
  • Support the full lifecycle of IS projects, including gathering and planning, design and configuration/development, testing and deployment, ongoing support and enhancement
