Play a decisive role in the financial and strategic management of one of the major players in the transportation and logistics sector in Canada and the United States. You will be at the heart of the action to drive crucial decisions: major asset financing, operational optimization, due diligence during acquisitions, high-level reconciliations, and audit.
Job Responsibility:
Financial Engineering: Analyze and structure financing files for the expansion and renewal of the fleet
Data Integration: Accurately transpose the terms of financing contracts into the Oracle system
CAPEX Management: Ensure the integrity and rigorous updating of the capital expenditure database
Dispute Resolution: Act as a pivot to resolve payment issues with creditors and/or accounts payable
M&A Support: Perform critical analysis of the vehicle fleet during external growth projects
Monthly Compliance: Lead the full reconciliation of long-term lease commitments
Contract Management: Draft lease-to-own contracts for owner-operators
Treasury Agility: Collaborate closely with the treasury team and provide strategic support during peak periods
Management Reporting: Produce performance indicators and monthly financial reports for senior management
Governance and Audit: Actively participate in internal and external audit mandates
Special Projects: Contribute to various ad hoc initiatives based on organizational needs
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
2 years of experience in finance or accounting
Experience with ERP systems
Advanced mastery of Excel
Bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written, international exposure
Fluent in English (both spoken and written)
