Join Barclays as a Business Analyst where you’ll play a key role in shaping and delivering a high-profile wholesale lending transformation. As part of the Loan IQ Project, you’ll sit within the technology BA space while evolving toward a more functional, end-to-end role, working closely with the business to define, challenge, and refine requirements, translate them into clear user stories, and support delivery from concept through to implementation. You’ll get exposure far beyond pure technology, spanning process design, stakeholder management, and elements of delivery ownership. Job Responsibility:
Identification and analysis of business problems and client requirements that require change within the organisation
Development of business requirements that will address business problems and opportunities
Collaboration with stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions meet their needs and expectations
Support the creation of business cases that justify investment in proposed solutions
Conduct feasibility studies to determine the viability of proposed solutions
Support the creation of reports on project progress to ensure proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget
Creation of operational design and process design to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered within the agreed scope
Support to change management activities, including development of a traceability matrix to ensure proposed solutions are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation
Requirements:
Ability to elicit, analyse, and document requirements across a wide range of stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment with business objectives
Strong analytical mindset with the capability to identify root causes, develop effective solutions, and clearly communicate and manage the resolution process
Confident in challenging requirements and proposed solutions constructively, building strong relationships while driving high standards and continuous improvement
Nice to have:
Experience in Wholesale Lending, including knowledge of loan trading, syndication, and corporate lending
Ability to capture, analyse, and document end-to-end processes clearly and accurately, identifying opportunities for optimisation and improved efficiency
Strong relationship building skills with the confidence to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
