Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will act as a key partner to Finance, Accounting, and IT teams, leveraging your expertise to manage and enhance financial systems, particularly SAP S/4HANA. You will play a central role in improving processes, resolving system issues, and translating business needs into effective technology solutions. Job Responsibility:

Serve as the subject matter expert for SAP S/4HANA Finance systems, including core accounting modules and related integrations
Manage system configurations, data flows, and controls to ensure smooth operations and scalability
Lead efforts in testing system upgrades, enhancements, and patches, including designing and executing test plans
Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and validate results to ensure successful implementation of system changes
Troubleshoot finance system issues, identify root causes, and collaborate with IT to implement effective solutions
Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline and automate finance and accounting processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with business objectives
Develop and maintain documentation, training materials, and knowledge-sharing resources for users
Support compliance, audit, and internal control requirements related to financial systems

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field
At least 7 years of experience in business analysis, with a focus on finance and accounting systems
Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including Fiori applications
Strong understanding of core finance and accounting processes, such as general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reporting
Proven experience in leading system testing and user acceptance testing (UAT)
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with IT and business stakeholders
Experience in process improvement and implementing system-driven efficiencies
Familiarity with system integrations, data flows, and internal controls
